Student Life
Athletics
At Saint Matthew School, athletics are an extension of the mission of the school. It is another tool for coaches, parents, teachers, and administrators to teach invaluable lessons about the human spirit, community, and faith.
Saint Matthew School has a no cut policy to encourage all students to participate in athletics. As early as kindergarten, students are given the opportunity to explore sports in a safe and competitive environment.
Saint Matthew School competes in two athletic conferences, the Diocesan Athletic Conference and the Harpeth Valley Athletic Conference. The school offers cross country (K-8), cheerleading (6-8), flag football (1-8), basketball (3-8), volleyball (5-8), golf (6-8), swim (5-8), track (5-8) and soccer (4-8).
In addition, a number of Nashville Catholic sports are offered and administered by Father Ryan High School. For more information about Nashville Catholic visit https://nashvillecatholicathletics.com/. For any questions about this program, email nashcatholicathletics@gmail.com.
