The Saint Matthew Haiti Ministry proudly presents…

Saturday, September 12, at 6 p.m.
Saint Matthew Courtyard
21+ Event

For more than 30 years, Saint Matthew has ministered to the Haitian community of Gobert through a partnership with Our Lady of Miracles parish and sister chapels. These parishes serve approximately 25,000 people and are located in a northern, rural area of Haiti.

Our continued support, alongside the leadership of Father Nicolas Floréal and Dr. Librice, the doctor at the Gobert clinic, is helping the community meet its medical, physical, spiritual and educational needs.

Our largest annual fundraiser, Well Played: A Songwriters’ Night, is now in its 16th year. Last year’s event, held in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of Saint Matthew School, had a special focus on education. Through the incredible generosity of sponsors and donors, we raised a record $64,000+! Those funds, are allowing us to build four additional classrooms as well as provide windows and doors for the school.

This year, we are excited to welcome Patrick Murphy to Songwriters’ Night. A rising Nashville singer-songwriter, Patrick brings heartfelt storytelling, authentic country sounds, and a passion for connecting with audiences through his music. He will be joined by two Grammy-nominated songwriters: Ryan Larkins, a Nashville native known for his work as a songwriter and artist, and Fraser Churchill, an English-Canadian songwriter who studied at LIPA, the performing arts school founded by Paul McCartney.

Opening the evening will be Kelly Jeanne, a talented singer-songwriter and proud member of our Saint Matthew Music Ministry. A familiar voice to many in our parish, Kelly brings her gift for music to the stage, helping set the tone for an inspiring evening of music, fellowship and community.

Doors open at 6 p.m., with music beginning at 6:45 p.m.

Our Songwriters

Fraser Churchill is a Grammy Nominated English/Canadian songwriter who studied music at LIPA, Paul McCartney’s music school in Liverpool. His international breakthrough came with the Charlie Puth song, “Patient” off the album Voicenotes. He also co-wrote the 2021 Grammy-nominated Mickey Guyton song, “Black Like Me,” the Lukas Graham single, “Call My Name,” “Baby I’ll Wait” by Michael Buble, “High Heels” by Walker Hayes feat. Flo Rida, Chase Matthew –  “I Don’t Wanna Know” and the Ronan Keating feat. Emeli Sande song, “One of a Kind.”

Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Ryan Larkins caught the music city bug as a pre-teen, starting his songwriting journey at 12-years-old. He began to forge his distinctive baritone sound singing and playing guitar weekly at his home church. Those early performances eventually got him noticed by the Nashville music industry community and soon led to a publishing deal with Sony Music Publishing. Ryan’s sonic roots in traditional country music coupled with his love for gospel, popand even R&B has crafted an original, incomparable sound sought after by some of the most talented names in the industry. He’s since written with musical legends like Tony Lane, Tom Douglas, Lee Miller, Craig Wiseman, Tim Nichols, Rhett Akins, Ben Hayslip and Country Music Hall of Fame member Bill Anderson. Bill earned his first Grammy nominationfor “Someday It’ll All Make Sense,” a duet with Dolly Parton, that Larkins co-wrote. A gifted songwriter, Ryan has also landed cuts by award-winning artists like Tim McGraw and Cody Johnson, landing his first #1 song with “The Painter,” which also earned him his debut ACM nomination for Song of the Year and CMA nomination for Song of the Year. After launching his first Nashville Country release, Meet Ryan Larkins, on Jay DeMarcus’ Red Street Records, Ryan has garnered fans around the country opening for acts like Willie Nelson, Ian Munsick and Priscilla Block as the direct support on her 2024 headlining Hey Jack Tour.  In 2025, he hit the road with the legendary Clint Black.

Patrick Murphy was born with a musical state of mind. The Perham, Minnesota native began honing his piano skills at the age of three, going on to play in front of his first audiences at the local church. The chapel turned into restaurants as Murphy added singing to his craft, developing a style influenced by the likes of Billy Joel, Elton John, Journey and more. Now, two decades after first sitting down at the piano bench, the 26-year-old has discovered his own sound. Self-described as Rascal Flatts and Dan + Shay meet The Script and Rob Thomas, Murphy is set to strike a chord with listeners. The past several years have already seen massive career milestones for the young Nashville-based musician, from landing his first publishing and major label record deals, penning Tim McGraw’s recent hit “Standing Room Only”, to opening for artists such as Maren Morris, Kane Brown, Kip Moore, Maddie & Tae and more. This is just the beginning as Murphy readies to share new music into the world later this year.

Opening Act

We are delighted to welcome one of our own, Kelley Jeanne, to open this year’s Songwriters’ Night. A Saint Matthew parishioner and member of our music ministry, Kelley has built a professional country music career while continuing to share her gifts in worship here at our parish. Tonight, she will be joined by guitarist Chase Kalina for a special acoustic performance.

Originally from Pittsburgh and now based in Nashville, Kelley has been performing since childhood and has appeared on stages across the Midwest and South. After being selected for CMT’s Artist Mentorship Program, she relocated to Music City and has released original music that has been featured on country radio, including collaborations with other Nashville artists. Influenced by artists such as Gretchen Wilson, Loretta Lynn, and The Chicks, Kelley’s music blends modern country with a touch of rock-and-roll grit. Please join us in giving a warm Saint Matthew welcome to Kelley Jeanne.
