Saint Matthew Feast Day Celebrations
Saturday, September 19, Day of Service
This year, Saint Matthew is joining forces with Graceworks for a Day of Service in honor of the Feast of Saint Matthew. On Saturday, September 19, we’ll partner with GraceWorks to operate their Mobile Food Pantry at Fairview Middle School from 7–11 a.m. We need 50 volunteers of all ages to help serve our neighbors and operate the pantry. Volunteers are asked to serve for the entire shift from 7–11 a.m.
Children are welcome to volunteer. If they will need to remain with you throughout the morning, please do not include them in your registration. If they are able to volunteer independently, they may be registered as one of the 50 volunteers.
Location:
Fairview Middle School

Monday, September 21, Feast of Saint Matthew
Our parish feast day is a special time for us to come together as a community, honor our patron, and grow in faith and fellowship. At Saint Matthew, our patronal feast is celebrated as a solemnity—the highest-ranking feast in the Church’s liturgical calendar. We will celebrate with two Masses on his feast day. We will have our normally scheduled 8 a.m. Mass, which the school will attend. We will also offer a second Mass at 6 p.m. As is tradition, we will celebrate with a community dinner following the evening Mass. An RSVP for the dinner will open soon.
Come celebrate our patronal feast day with service, prayer, fellowship, and a shared meal as one parish family!
