Saint Matthew Transitioning to the Pushpay Giving Platform
Pushpay replacing OSV | Beginning Monday, March 17
Saint Matthew is excited to announce a new giving platform called Pushpay, which replaces OSV. Pushpay enables simplified giving through a variety of ways, including mobile and online.
As we change to Pushpay, we ask all parishioners, including those who contribute via ACH draws, checks, or cash, to move to the new Pushpay platform. We want to briefly share why this transition is occurring.
We reviewed our giving options with the diocese for more than a year before making this decision. Pushpay provides an integrated solution that gives our parishioners a quick, easy, and highly efficient way to donate and includes state-of-the-art security. With Pushpay, our parishioners can make updates or changes to donations, family data or contact information, and can control payment methods (bank accounts or credit cards) without having to contact the parish office. We strive to be good stewards of your financial gifts and believe the ease of use and parishioner flexibility of Pushpay, along with lower transaction costs to the parish, will allow your gift of treasure to go further in supporting the Church’s mission. Every parish in the Diocese of Nashville is converting to Pushpay this year.
Our goal is to complete this transition for the parish by April 30, so we need your help now in moving your current method of giving to Pushpay. This simple two-step process takes no more than ten minutes.
Instructions for Transition to Pushpay Online Giving:
STEP ONE: Setting up a new recurring gift using Pushpay.
Visit https://pushpay.com/g/stmatthewfranklin or the Giving page on our website to set up your donation using the Pushpay Giving platform. The recurring option should already be selected, and you can set up your gift. After entering your gift, you can complete the setup of your new account.
To donate to specific parish ministries or second collections, simply click “Add another fund” at the bottom to add those donations. If you would like to make those donations at a different frequency, finish creating your account and then return to the first page to update the frequency or make additional donations. Should you need additional assistance, step-by-step guidance is available here. You can view the list of second collections here.
STEP TWO: Cancel scheduled gifts in Our Sunday Visitor.
If you have recurring donations set up through Our Sunday Visitor (OSV), once you have set up recurring gifts in Pushpay, please cancel any scheduled gifts in OSV. The Saint Matthew OSV giving page is here. We also recommend you delete any saved payment methods. Should you need assistance with these steps, you can click here.
If you currently have any ACH donations directly with Saint Matthew, we ask you to move your donations to Pushpay as noted in step one. You can still link directly to your bank account, but with Pushpay you can control your account and make changes without needing to contact the Saint Matthew Business Office. To cancel your current ACH withdrawals, please email Bill Stewart at bstewart@stmatthewtn.org after setting up your new account.
This transition also provides a great opportunity to review your giving. If you have not updated your giving recently, we ask you to prayerfully discern what you are able to give and to use this opportunity to adjust accordingly.
Thank you for helping ensure we have a smooth transition for the entire parish. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Bill Stewart at bstewart@stmatthewtn.org or 615-550-5107, or Alex Halfmann at ahalfmann@stmatthewtn.org or 615-550-5101. Also, parish staff and volunteers will be available for assistance in the Narthex before and after Masses the weekend, March 22 and 23.
