Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser

Benefitting Rise Youth Ministry’s summer mission trip

For years, a group of young people from Saint Matthew has spent part of their summer with one goal: to serve as Jesus did. The experience of mission trips has proven life-changing for our teens, the people they encounter, and our entire community. Simply put, there’s a beautiful joy and sense of eagerness everyone returns with that is unmatched.

This summer, our RISE students will travel to serve those in North Carolina, making a gift of themselves to love on those grieving and broken after the devastation from Hurricane Helene last year. Our hearts were devastated by the disaster of Hurricane Helene, as so many lives were taken, homes were destroyed, and families and individuals lost everything. “To whom much is given, much is expected” – Luke 12:48. We feel this call as young people to act in accordance with this verse. To practice the Corporal Works of Mercy and to be a small instrument in taking care of those who have lost so much. Mission isn’t an option, it is essential and a sacred call for us to live as Christ did. We would be so grateful for your prayers, support, and if possible your financial generosity, so that we can give of ourselves to love on those who are grieving and broken after the devastating hurricane.

RISE Youth Ministry will host our annual pancake breakfast fundraiser after Masses on Sunday, Feb. 23 in the Cohan-Hansom Building. Members of RISE Youth Ministry will be on hand to make and serve the food and share more information about our upcoming mission trip.

Bring the family and join us for a delicious pancake breakfast and fellowship with the parish community. Make it a full meal or just get some pancakes. Either way, splurge and get the add-on toppings bar to take your pancakes to the next level. All money raised will help offset the cost of the mission trip. Payment can be made at the event via cash, check, credit card, or by visiting our online giving platform. We are also offering sponsorship opportunities for the event for those interested (info below).

Mark your calendars and make plans to attend! You can pay cash, check or card at the door, but help us prepare by RSVPing below. For more information on the event and to learn how you can get involved with Rise Youth Ministry, please contact Frankie Tripodi, Director of Youth Ministry, at ftripodi@stmatthewtn.org.

Sponsorship Opportunities

The Rise Youth Group is seeking individuals, families and businesses to sponsor our upcoming pancake breakfast! Without sponsorships, this event, and more importantly, our mission trip can’t happen. We have sponsorships available ranging from getting a VIP treatment by fully funding a student to attend the mission trip, to a family level sponsorship! Your generous support is going to make a difference in the lives of our teens and the lives of those struggling after Hurricane Helene. There are four sponsorship levels available. Take a look at each level and its benefits below!

Receive a fun decorated private table with a personal waiter or waitress to take your order and serve you well, a poster board with your picture and name recognition, unlimited access to all breakfast items on the menu, and a personal thank you basket from our students 🙂 This sponsorship will fully fund a student to travel, eat, work, and sleep on the mission trip.

Enjoy a fun, decorated private table, a poster board with your picture and name recognition, a personalized thank you basket from our students, and unlimited access to all breakfast items on the menu. This sponsorship will help a student’s dream come true, and cover most of the cost for them to attend the Hurricane Helene Relief Mission Trip.

Name recognition, a personal thank-you gift from our students, and unlimited access to all breakfast items on the menu. This sponsorship will help a student eat on the mission and provide the resources needed for them to work on the worksites during our trip.

Family name recognition at the event. This sponsorship will include unlimited pancakes, one side package (2 sausages and hashbrowns), full access to the topping bar, and a juice, milk, or coffee for each family member!

All sponsorships must be submitted by Tuesday, February 18. Click the button below to purchase your sponsorship today. If you have any questions, please contact Frankie Tripodi at ftripodi@stmatthewtn.org. Thank you for your generous support!
