Benefitting the Rise Youth Group’s summer mission trip

For years, a group of young people from Saint Matthew has spent part of their summer with one goal: to serve as Jesus did. The experience of mission trips has proven life-changing for our teens, the people they encounter, and our entire community. Simply put, there’s a beautiful joy and sense of eagerness everyone returns with that is unmatched.

This summer, we’ll be joining over 200 people from around the country in Mobile, Alabama, for a mission trip, and we want you to be part of it. The Rise Youth Group will take over Community Weekend in February to host our annual pancake breakfast fundraiser. All members of the Saint Matthew community are invited to join us in the Cohan-Hansom Building for a delicious pancake meal after all the Masses on February 3 and 4 (including the Saturday night Mass, because who doesn’t love breakfast for dinner?!). Members of the Rise Youth Group will be on hand to make/serve the food and share more information about our upcoming mission trip.

Bring the family and join us for a free, all-you-can-eat pancake meal and fellowship with the parish community. While the meals will be free, this is a fundraiser, so we ask that you prayerfully consider making a donation to support our teens and help offset the cost of the mission trip. Donations can be made at the event via cash, check, credit card, or by visiting our online giving platform. We are also offering sponsorship opportunities for the event for those interested (info below).

Sponsorship Opportunities

The Rise Youth Group is seeking individuals, families and businesses to sponsor our upcoming pancake breakfast! Rather than selling tickets, as we’ve done in previous years, we are relying on free-will donations and sponsorship partners from the community to raise funds for our mission trip. With your generous support, breakfast will be made free to our community. There are five sponsorship levels available to purchase. Take a look at each level and its benefits below!

  • Access to the front of the line to receive the freshest pancakes
  • The opportunity to build your own pancake for the menu (sponsors at this level can select up to three toppings)
  • Naming rights for your special pancake on the menu
  • Acknowledgement on all signage advertising the Pancake Breakfast

  • The opportunity to build your own pancake for the menu (sponsors at this level can select up to two toppings)
  • Naming rights for your special pancake on the menu
  • Acknowledgement on all signage advertising the Pancake Breakfast

  • Allows us to provide various fun toppings commonly found on sundaes (whipped cream, bananas, chocolate syrup, sprinkles, etc.)
  • Acknowledged with signage on the topping table

  • Allows us to provide the classic toppings (butter, syrup, powdered sugar, etc.)
  • Acknowledged with signage on the topping table

  • Allows us to provide pancakes and drinks for the community
  • Acknowledged with signage on the serving table
