Thank you for your interest in Saint Matthew School.\u00a0 \u00a0Those interested in attending Saint Matthew School are encouraged to submit an application.\u00a0 Students of all faiths and backgrounds are encouraged to apply.\u00a0 SMS does not discriminate against students or applicants on the basis of race, color, or national origin.<\/p>\n

Applications for\u00a0current and next year enrollment<\/em> are accepted at any time during the school year.\u00a0 \u00a0For fall enrollment, applications for all grades are strongly encouraged by our December 12, 2025 application deadline<\/strong>.\u00a0 The application fee is $125 for our Pre-K\/K application and $75 for our Grades 1-8 application. Rising Pre-K 4s and Kindergarten students who apply by this date will be eligible for a screening appointment in mid-January.\u00a0 (We do not screen 3 year olds) Applications received after this deadline will have a screening scheduled based on availability.<\/p>\n

Admissions requirements<\/i><\/b>: Applicants must be age eligible by August 15th of the year they wish to enter. For example, kindergarten students must be 5 years of age, for Pre-K, students must be 4 years of age, and for P3, students must be 3 years of age, all by August 15*.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

*<\/span>All students must be completely and independently toilet trained by the first day of school<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Applications must have all documents attached and application fee paid in order to be processed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Saint Matthew Church and School are located on a beautiful 16 acre campus on the northwestern corner of Williamson County, bordering on Davidson County.\u00a0 A visit to our Apple Distinguished School and 2017 National Blue Ribbon award winning campus is the best way to experience all that Saint Matthew has to offer, to hear more about us and provide an opportunity to observe our students and teachers in action.<\/p>\n

Coffee with the Principal<\/strong><\/p>\n

SMS hosts several hybrid \u2018Coffee with the Principal\u2019<\/strong> events\u00a0 for prospective parents with children in all grades. The 60-minute session includes an overview of our school and a Q&A with our Principal, followed by a tour.\u00a0 These events\u00a0 are offered both in-person and via zoom.\u00a0 Zoom codes will be emailed out the day before to all who are registered for the event.\u00a0<\/strong> Zoom participants may visit in the future for their tour.\u00a0 Coffee with the Principal dates for 2025-26 will be Thursday September 25 @ 9:00, Wednesday October 22 @ 8:15, (No coffee event in November due to Open House), Wednesday, January 21, 2026 @ 8:15, and Wednesday, March 25 @ 8:15 – virtual only. Open House – November 9, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n

SMS will host a school wide Open House<\/strong> from 12-2:30p.m. for families with prospective students in all grades.\u00a0 \u00a0All faculty and administration are on hand for answering questions and providing information.\u00a0 In addition to visits in our classrooms, we will have information on our mission, clubs, athletics, extended care, our lunch program, volunteer opportunities, and more. Private Tours<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you are not able to attend a Coffee or Open House event, you may also schedule a tour. Please schedule a private tour via the button below, or by calling our Admissions Office at 615-662-4044.\u00a0 Tour dates are added on a monthly basis.\u00a0 We will begin scheduling tours in September 2025, after the first few weeks of school.<\/p>\n

Shadow Days<\/strong><\/p>\n

Once your child has applied to Saint Matthew, applicants for rising 1st-8th grades are asked to schedule a Shadow Day, where they can spend the day at SMS, meeting teachers and students in the classroom setting. All students should apply before signing up for a shadow date. Shadow days begin at drop off (7:30am) and typically last until 2:00.<\/p>\n

For the 2025-26 school year, shadow dates will be October 22, November 19, December 10, January 21, February 25, March 25, and April 22. Additional dates will be added as needed through the year.\u00a0 Please contact the Admissions Office 615-662-4044 if you are traveling in from out of town and need a different date.<\/p>\n<\/div>
