Please take the time to stop by and prepare your soul during this period of repentance leading up to Easter.<\/p>\n<p>If you cannot make the service, Saint Matthew has the Sacrament of Penance available every Wednesday evening from 6-6:50 p.m. and on Saturdays from 4-4:45 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>You can find other penance services around around the diocese <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nashvillecatholic.org\/news\/posts\/lenten-penance-services-prepare-us-for-holy-season\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Before celebrating the Sacrament of Penance, one should prepare oneself with an examination of conscience, which involves reflecting prayerfully on one&#8217;s thoughts, words, and deeds in order to identify any sins. The USCCB has a variety of Examination of Conscious to help you prepare for the sacrament in your current stage of life.
