<\/span><\/div>The Saint Matthew St. Vincent de Paul chapter is collecting food donations to support neighbors in need. With your help, we can provide balanced, nutritious food boxes to families in our community.<\/p>\n
To make sure donations are distributed evenly and meet real needs, we ask all donors to sign up<\/a> in advance. Monetary donations are accepted year-round to help us provide assistance to neighbors in need for things such as rent and utility bills.<\/p>\n Our Food Drive Goal: 40 Food Boxes<\/strong><\/p>\n By signing up, you help us ensure a balanced variety of food items across all donation boxes.<\/p>\n The following items are requested:<\/p>\n Signing up allows our Saint Vincent de Paul volunteers to:<\/p>\n When preparing your donation, please keep the following guidelines in mind:<\/p>\n Saint Vincent de Paul will have tables in the Narthex before and after Masses on the weekend of February 21 & 22. Please separate your items into the appropriate bins to help with sorting.<\/p>\n Volunteers are needed to help sort the food, check expiration dates, and create the food boxes after each Mass. This is a great opportunity for students in need of service hours or a family looking to serve together. You may sign up as a volunteer on the bottom of the Food Drive Sign-Up below.<\/p>\n If you would like to get involved with the ministry on a regular basis, or learn more about the Saint Matthew Saint Vincent de Paul chapter, please reach out to Kirk Jordan at kirkjordan@comcast.net<\/a>. SVdP meets on the first and third Monday each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Conference Center.<\/p>\n If you need assistance with food, rent, utilities, etc…, please reach out to our SVdP society. Call our helpline at 615-550-5130<\/strong> and leave a voicemail. Be sure to leave your callback number. One of our Vincentians will respond within 24 hours. All inquiries are 100% anonymous and neighbors in need do not need to be Saint Matthew parishioners to receive assistance.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, the largest lay organization in the Church, focuses on sanctification of our members while delivering the Corporal Works of Mercy (food, housing, clothing, etc.) to neighbors in need.\u00a0 When a neighbor calls our helpline (615-550-5130), we visit them to better understand their family needs.\u00a0 We bring prayer and specific assistance for the most effective intervention.<\/p>\nItems Needed<\/strong><\/h3>\n
