The main focus of this work is improving the lighting and enhancing the sound quality in the church\u2014two areas identified prior to the <em>Legacy of Faith, Hope, and Love Campaign<\/em> needing to be addressed to create a better experience during Mass and other events in our Church. <strong>Construction begins on Thursday, May 22<\/strong>, and is expected to be completed this summer.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body\"><strong><span class=\"OYPEnA font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Central Features of the Project:<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"OYPEnA font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\"><strong>Removing and replacing our current lighting<\/strong> with four fully dimmable chandeliers that will warmly fill the sanctuary and meet the needs of our Masses and other liturgies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"OYPEnA font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\"><strong>Installing spotlights and accent lighting,<\/strong> which will give us a great range of lighting options for special Masses and other services and ensure important areas around the sanctuary are adequately lit.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"OYPEnA font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\"><strong>Illuminating our Stations of the Cross<\/strong> with small spotlights, which will be beautifully integrated into a natural wooden molding, enhancing the atmosphere of reverence and reflection as this devotion is prayed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"OYPEnA font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\"><strong>Redesigning the altar canopy<\/strong> to focus lighting on key liturgical spaces and improve visibility.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"OYPEnA font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\"><strong>Painting<\/strong> throughout the church will be done to brighten the sacred space and offer a clean, refreshed look, including the ceiling and the decorative trim near the top of the walls.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"OYPEnA font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\"><strong>Adding specialized sound panels<\/strong> to reduce echo and further improve audio clarity.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body\"><strong><span class=\"OYPEnA font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Summer Impacts:<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"OYPEnA font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">All weekday Masses will be celebrated in the Chapel, starting Friday, May 23.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"OYPEnA font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">To access the Chapel during the week, please use the outside Chapel door.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"OYPEnA font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Weekend Masses will still take place in the church.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"OYPEnA font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">On some weekends, pews may be removed or roped off, and you will likely see equipment stored in the Narthex. Please avoid these areas and help keep children off of them for everyone\u2019s safety. Additionally, please stay away from the storage container and dumpster outside the church.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"OYPEnA font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Temporary lighting will be used in the church during construction.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"OYPEnA font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">The Narthex and Church will be closed Monday through Friday, and the Church Kitchen will be closed for the entire summer.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"OYPEnA font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Livestreaming of Masses will be unavailable for all Masses during construction.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"OYPEnA font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Thank you for your patience,<\/span> <span class=\"OYPEnA font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">your prayers, and your continued support as we work to make our sacred space even more welcoming and beautiful.
