\"\"The time has come for the St. Vincent de Paul Society’s 3rd annual Friends of the Poor Walk\/Run!<\/p>\n

After last year’s event was held virtually due to COVID-19 restrictions, we’re happy to welcome everyone back to St. Cecilia Academy’s track for this year’s event. Join us for a day of fun and fellowship as we gather to help those most in need in our community.<\/p>\n

This year’s 5K fun run and walk will be held on Saturday, September 18. Registration will begin at 8 a.m., and the walk will begin at 9 a.m. All funds raised will go to help individuals and families most in need in our community. You can register as a solo runner or create a team with your friends and family. The cost is $20 per adult, $10 per child, or $50 for a family. Your registration fee will also include a 2021 Friends of the Poor t-shirt.<\/p>\n

Our conference provides assistance to those in need in several ways. We meet with our neighbors in their homes and provide funds for utilities, rent, food from our pantry, medications, referrals, and much more. We also feed the homeless quarterly. Our Mission Statement is, “A network of friends, inspired by Gospel values, growing in holiness and building a more just world through personal relationships with and service to people in need.” Please consider sponsoring our fundraiser today.<\/p>\n<\/div>
